Discover the surprising facts behind one of the world’s favorite fruits – the strawberry.

Although strawberries are often considered berries, they are not true berries according to the botanical definition. Strawberries belong to the category of “aggregate fruits” because the edible parts of the fruit develop from the seeds on the surface of the flowering plant.

In addition to their unique botanical characteristics, strawberries are also rich in vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant that supports the immune system, aids in collagen production, and promotes skin health. A serving of strawberries can provide a significant portion of the daily requirement for vitamin C.

Furthermore, strawberries are associated with spring, a time of renewal and abundance. They are one of the first fruits to ripen in the spring, making them a welcome treat after the cold winter months. Strawberries are often linked with the arrival of warmer weather and are widely used in seasonal desserts, salads, and beverages.

Let yourself be enchanted by the versatility and flavor of strawberries as you enjoy their unique properties and their role in celebrating spring.
